Next week 13 representatives from the Stockholm Public Libraries, including Kista Library/Learning Center and Kista Idea Lab, are off to this summer’s most interesting library event: Icecamp 2010 in Reyjkjavik, Iceland.
Inspired by the library camp/unconference format, 7 libraries in 5 nordic countries* will during the following two years co-create innovative ideas for common Nordic concepts for public libraries. All in all 3 creative learning camps will involve more than 50 library staff across the Nordic libraries.
We’ll be hosting the event next year!
The network & the results will be promoted in an interactive website, films, articles and conference papers.
*The project partners are: Borgarbókasafn Reykjavíkur, Iceland, Bókasafn Kópavogs, Iceland, Amtsbókasafnið á Akureyri, Iceland, Deichmanske Bibliotek, Oslo, Helsingfors Stadsbibliotek, Finland, Stockholm Stadsbibliotek, Sweden, Århus Public Libraries, Denmark
